âś… Do:
Keep in bright shade – near an east/north window, shaded veranda, or under larger plants.
Let bulbs stay a bit crowded in the pot for better flowering.
Use rich organic soil and top-dress with compost once or twice a year.
Rotate the pot sometimes so growth stays balanced.
Use as a fragrant indoor flower plant – great for bedrooms and living rooms.
❌ Don’t:
Don’t place in full strong sun – leaves will scorch.
Don’t let bulbs sit in soggy soil – this causes rot quickly.
Don’t keep in very dry, neglected soil for long periods – it will stop flowering and leaves suffer.
Don’t over-fertilize with strong chemical fertilizers – can burn roots.
Don’t splash water on leaves at night in cold conditions – encourages fungal spots.
